View from the Chair

For those of you who I haven’t met or haven’t heard, I took over the reins from Mario as Chair at the recent AGM. I would like to say that I will do my very best to build on the successful history of the club and with your help and support take it forward. Perhaps the most important objective at this time is to secure the club’s future sustainability and its home. In spite of recent news, nothing is as yet guaranteed. Any club such as ours is reliant on the help, support and goodwill of its members and on that note, I would ask you to support our shooting and event programme through the year, and to lend a hand when you can. The Committee is keen to arrange more social events to give members, friends and family a chance to get together and have some fun without necessarily having a bow in hand.  Please keep an eye on the website, Facebook and other social media to find out what is going on and please get involved. As you can imagine, there is always something that needs to be done at the field so please don’t be shy – if everyone volunteered just a couple of hours it would make a big difference – a day here and there would be even better. You never know, you might enjoy it!
