Georges News Letter June 2018

At the start of June we held our Open Double 720 Tournament, 72 arrows in the morning, shot at 50 metres[compound] and 70 metres [recurve],   repeated in the afternoon, with 10 points for a gold,giving a possible score of 720 for each round. Organised by Linda Telford and Susan Stankovic, the shoot attracted ninety archers, and our members had a good day. Andy and Carrie Mortimore [longbow] and Serena and Ethan Lamb [recurve] set new club records, and Jenny Bryan[compound]  set new club,county and regional records and was only 6 points off a national record

Lincoln Archers hosted the East Midlands Archery Society’s York/Hereford competition in the middle of the month. Jenny Bryan set new club,county and regional records,this time for the Hereford round, and with Lee Waterfield won the Team Trophy shield.

At the time of writing, Jenny is shooting with Team GB in the Euro Youth Championships at Patras in Greece. Good luck,Jenny.

ps   Jenny won Silver in the Head to Head Individual shoot-off, and Silver in the Team Final.
