Sherwood Archers bag Medal haul at the Notts Open Championships
On a generally dry day with variable breeze Sherwood Archers continued their recent good form as Bramcote Archery Club hosted this years Notts Open Championships at their new Greasley Castle venue. From a field of some 70 archers, the 10 from Sherwood managed to net a magnificent 9 medals. Carrie Mortimer took the Ladies Longbow Trophy with yet another record breaking score and Serena Lamb, Linda Millard, Steve Lamb and Darren Lowe combined to claim the team trophy. Andy Mortimore won Gold for Gents Longbow, Serena Lamb Silver and Linda Millard Bronze in the Ladies Recurve, with Steve Lamb and Lee Waterfield each taking a Silver for Gents Recurve and Compound respectively. Jason Millard took Gold in the Handicap Trophy and Ethan Lamb won a KG Trophy.
