We have now started our outdoor season with members meeting to shoot on Tuesday and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, when we continue to shoot a round rather than just practice. This month we continued to shoot our clout but instead of the Frostbite we shot an American which is more in keeping with the outdoor season, being more arrows shot at longer distance. Our county host a series of league shoots throughout the summer and 12 of our archers competed in the first one which will be hosted by one of the Nottingham clubs.
Our beginners course went well with 20 people completing the course. Our next one will be in June. If you fancy trying your hand at archery and cannot wait until June the we are hosting our open weekend on Sunday 7th and Monday 8th May 10.00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m. at our field on Lower Kirklington Road. It doesn’t cost anything so come along and have a try.
