On the first weekend in June, we held our Double 720 tournament ,a World Record Status shoot of 12 dozen arrows ,organised by Linda Telford, with Mario Stankovic Director of Shooting. Our members shot very well in this high-quality event, with Club records for Stephen Lamb, Serena Lamb and Andy Mortimore. Ethan Lamb[under 12 recurve] is claiming regional, and perhaps national records.

Our monthly clout goes from strength to strength. Mark Burton shot a county record. Jane Burton and Oliver and Nathan Salmon all shot club records.

We hosted the Nottinghamshire Golden Arrow Tournament, and the second round of the Summer League, both organised by Susan Stankovic. Our members won a total of ten trophies:Stephen Lamb Golden Arrow and Mackness Quiver for best score by a Notts archer; Darran Lowe Bronze Arrow; Carrie Mortimore Lady Longbow, Stygian Spoon for most blacks and a Bath and West Horn , along with Linda Millard and Mark Burton; Daniel Sharratt Robin Hood Trophy for first-time winner, and Stephen,Linda,Darran and Daniel won the Recurve Team Trophy. What a result!

Results of the Summer League will be announced after the third round.

The Have-a-Go that we put on at the Family Fun Day on the Burgage was a great success as usual, with 100 people getting a taste of archery, and there was a lot of interest in our Beginners Course in September.

Linda Millard went to the Regional Championships at Wellingborough and was 3rdLady Recurve – a great result in bad weather.

Carrie won the Albion, and Andy was second. There were 217 archers shooting the two-way Western, mostly dressed in period costume, Carrie was third and Andy eighteenth. Then there was a Double York:Andy got his first Master Bowman score  and Carrie her 5thGrand Master score. Andy was 3rdVisitor, and broke the club record  for the York by 160 points!

Then back home to set new club records for the Short National at the Greasley Castle Archers Midsummer Shoot
