A Happy New Year to all our followers.
As usual every year, the last club-night before Christmas took on a festive air, with some members shooting at normal targets and others shooting at targets with a Christmas theme. Everyone brought contributions for the “fuddle”and the variety of celebration food was quite wide making an enjoyable supper.
The most important part of the evening was the Records Officer’s announcement of members’ achievements for 2019. The GNAS medals for the most improved handicaps went to Alex Atkins [Senior] with -13, and Oliver Salmon [Junior] with -6. The Sherwood Archers’ medals for best first handicaps went to Gareth Fuller[Senior] with 44,and 2nd Class, and Grace Fieldwick[Junior] with72 and 1st Class.
Other achievement badges were earned :Grand Master Bowman Carrie Mortimore, Master Bowman George Tohovitis, Junior Bowman Ethan Lamb and Bowman Darran Lowe, Andy Mortimore, Linda Millard and Serena Lamb.
New classifications were 1st Class Jane Burton, Jodie Hayde,Tristan Armes, Jason Millard,John Brewin and Mark Burton. 2nd Class Paul Clifton, 3rd Class David Salmon and Paul Woods.
Finally, congratulations to Joanne Bennett,Nick Bennett and Jodie Hayde, who have qualified as Level 1 coaches, and have joined our coaching team.
Frostbites, Clouts and indoor Brays continue until Easter and results will appear monthly.
